1. Get your credit in order.

Obtain a copy of your credit report to make sure it is accurate and to correct any errors immediately. A credit report provides a history of your credit, debts, and payments.  A pro active lender with a can do attitude is a Great resource. If they choose not to help or prove not to be a good/helpful resourse find someone else!  You can't afford not to!  YOU NEED SOMEONE THAT WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE AND FIGHT FOR YOU! MY TEAM WILL DO JUST THAT! 

2.  Come in and meet with a lender to get pre approved. 

No one will look at your offer without being pre-approved and/or being able to show proof of funds. This is absolutely critical, with out this you are wasting your time and time is money!

3.  Develop your home wish list.

Then, prioritize the features on your list.  We will need this and the pre approval information for our initial meeting. 

4.  Meet with me (Dori "The Dominator") as your Buyers Agent.

We will first discuss the importance of having a Buyers Agent working for you. I will show you what you can expect to get for your well earned dollar. Homes will vary in price depending on location and condition.  We will talk about seller owned, short sales, foreclosures and bank owned properties. The pros and cons of each. We will discuss the different types of residential real estate and answer any questions or concerns you may have. I will go over scenarios of what you may and probably will encounter during the offer, negotiating and sale process. When we are done with our meeting you will be ready. A warrior and to face the coming battles.

5.  Visit My Blog often - Always finding and adding information for you.

  • Sometimes you get hit... hard....but you have to get up and keep on fighting!
  • Many lenders have tightened their boot straps but there are still great programs out there!
  • If your looking in the HOT price range of $130K and lower you are in direct competiton against more buyers than ever before.
  • You most likely will be competing against multiple offers.
  • Expect to pay higher than asking price for properties under valued and/or bank owned.  They are in high demand. And are priced to create a bidding frenzy.
  • In order to be competitive you will have to be flexible with your time/work schedule in order not to miss out on "the one" that is right for you.
  • Because I have the courage to tell you the truth you may misinterpret me as being pushy. I am not. Remember I am fighting hard FOR YOU! As your Buyers Agent I will be giving you the facts that you need to know.  When we are together and we see a home that appears to be above the normal standard, of which I see everyday, count on me to tell you. I may even be excited for you.
